Adam and Paula’s Styles Totally Clash.
Sorry, but, their humor, their rate of speech, just so much, clashes. Their interaction actually makes the show less funny. It made the last podcast less funny too, but I was still able to enjoy that one. I can’t even finish the first episode of this one. I’ll listen to a little of the latest one to see if it’s gone smoother, but I’m pessimistic. I can’t believe I may unsubscribe from this podcast I kept wanting to say, let Paula be Paula! It’s Her show!:) Paula sounds less natural the longer the show goes on, less like her self, as she keeps getting hampered and run over by Adam. On Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me the other panelists seem to totally get her humor and support it and she has more free reign. Also when the guest comes on then three people are talking and it’s even worse. The hosts start to talk faster and talk over each other more and more. So far, I’m clearly in the minority in my disapproval. So there might not be any change, but I Sincerely believe Any combination of these two hosts is Really bad for both of their careers. I Love Paula Poundstone and this became like nails on a chalkboard to listen to. I’ve saved the Institute episodes because Paula has a lot more room in that one and I enjoyed it despite my frustration with Adam Felber clashing with her. I will give any podcast of hers that comes along a try, but as long as these two are together I can’t imagine liking any of them.
