“I have listened to multiple episodes and enjoy her calm tone, flow, focus, in depth and detailed story telling while still being respectful of those impacted. She covers many different types of crimes from the nordic countries (*see my review of the MS Estonia series below). You’re not going to find yourself listening to the same stories constantly covered by other true crime podcasts. No fluff, no commentary, just the story. I also appreciate that the few short ads are at start and end as to not interrupt the story telling.
Really enjoying this podcast and highly recommended you check it out as I continue to binge the episodes!
*The MS Estonia episodes were the the first I listened to and found myself absorbed into the story. I highly suggest you check this 2 part series out! The way she describes that night, the ship, the sea, the people, the tragedy as it unfolds, the fight for survival and rescue pulled me in so much I felt the emotions as if I was on the ship experiencing it all.
Sadly I can honestly say I knew very little about this horrible tragedy. While only young at the time and in the US I only vaguely recall hearing of the ship at some point. So the story peaked my interest and I’m shocked at the horror and devastation of that night. The trauma further compounded as for some reason the multiple countries involved show an absolute disregard for the survivors and victims families
as they were determined (and still are) to literally cover it up and bury it at the bottom of the sea and move on.
With so many unanswered questions decades on I hope one day the truth will come out and bring justice and peace to those still impacted today.
(Thank you for covering this story. It’s important this tragedy not be forgotten and that one day people will get the answers they deserve.)”
