The sister show of the excellent Dice For Brains podcast, Not Another Tavern explores other game systems and stories outside the main Star Wars campaigns. The first season uses Fate Accelerated to tell the story of Narg the Goblin rocker and friends as he strives to win the battle of the bands!...Read full review »

... but I am VERY confused as to why it seemed like the campaign stopped half way through, and then suddenly became a StarWars Campaign, with absolutely no explanation. The podcast audio quality is top notch, excellent story-telling and character interaction and I would give it 5*’s if there was...Read full review »

At first I didn't know if I would like a fantasy/role-playing podcast game, because I thought they were all too nerdy and misogynistic for me. Turns out, I was an idiot and this podcast is AWESOME. :-) This is just a fun adventure and honestly, it's simply hilarious. I've been training for a...Read full review »

I’ve been binge listening to this since I found it last week. I’ve listened to it at work, on a long walk, right now laying in bed. Super fun and I really appreciate how clean and rated pg the content is. Keep up the great work! Currently on ep.6.

This is hands down one of the funniest and most engaging stories ever told. I think Dave did a great job of creating a fun story and letting his players just have fun with it. He finds all the right ways to say yes to his players and it only makes the story even better. Narg is just a blast to...Read full review »

I have rarely had so much fun with an actual play podcast. It became less about assesing whether I would like a system and more of an inspiring story with a great cast of characters. I want more!

I’ve never heard of Fate before but after listening to this really like the freeform concepts it brings. I haven’t been able to play in a long time and listening to this really brought me into the story as if I was sitting around the table. Great work and I hope to look forward to some future...Read full review »

I'm always looking for a new actual play RPG podcast, and this one offered me a look into a system I had no experience with. The participants all have a ton of fun with their roles, and that helps carry the podcast and make it something special. Definitely worth checking out!

I think I was predestined to love this podcast; but then again, the cast really seems to be enjoying their game. FATE is a lot of fun, I can't wait to see what the cast does with its next game.

This is an absolute joy to listen to. The characters are hilarious and create a fun and enjoyable atmoshpere. There never seems to be a dull moment for this band of heroes. Definitely something you'd want to listen to if you like fantasy mixed with a dash of goofiness.

If you like actual play, then you'll love the sheer quality in this podcast. Everything about this podcast, form the editing to the characters, speaks of not only a work of great effort, but a work of love.

This podcast is refreshing in its take on fantasy/RPG tropes. The players are funny and engaging and the music is great. The story is interesting and has all kinds of twists and turns. Never mind what you can do. In this game, HOW you do it is all important. A delightful adventure in freestyle magic and mayhem.
