Fun to listen to and full of helpful and inspiring information. I love the diversity of guests and ability to make me think a bit differently on a range of topics. Inspiring me to write more and Penny helps me realise that although I’m a parent carer, with all that entails, I’m really not too...Read full review »

I have listened to every episode of Not Too Busy to Write and it is one of my all time favourite podcasts. Penny and Ali have a lovely relaxed interviewing technique putting their authors at ease. I’ve also done one of Penny’s online courses on writing and it was super helpful. I am now writing...Read full review »

For years, I didn’t write because - quite honestly - I was scared, and I used my busy life and responsibilities as an excuse. When I came across this podcast last year and saw the title, I felt *seen*. I’m grateful to it for framing writing as something that simply HAS to be done in among all of...Read full review »

I’m very behind in the podcast game and never “got into it” but this is the only podcast I listen to and have been listening to since its launch. It’s incredibly refreshing to hear from people who have similar experiences to me, and who share their struggles without sugarcoating it but still...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this gem of a podcast since it started and it’s one of the few podcasts I listen to every single week. Discussions are wide ranging, tender and inspiring. Highly recommend!

I have been listening to this podcast since someone on my MA told me about it, and it is the most inspirational, authentic, and honest podcast I have heard. Penny and Ali talk so naturally about writing life and everything that comes with that, the highs, lows, and everything in between. I...Read full review »

A really enjoyable and honest listen. Writing habits are hard to form and harder to keep but this frames them as necessary choices, with the full admission that something else has to give and it won’t always work out as planned. Both these wonderful women are great at being vulnerable and upfront...Read full review »

Thank you for such an authentic look at women and the need to write. I listen when I go on my daily early morning walks and every podcast is engaging and makes me reflect and underpins and validates why I’ve spent so many years writing. It is also gently pushing me in the direction of daring to...Read full review »

I really like this podcast - informative & entertaining. Great to get some insight into the writing/publishing experience. Small criticism- Wish Ali had defined what ‘legal read’ means as I had no idea.

I’m really enjoying this. I’m not a writer, but an avid reader and loving hearing about different writers ways of approaching things. I’m also loving the book recommendations although not sure I’ll be able to keep up!

In my view, the best podcasts are those that make you feel like you’re sitting in the host’s kitchen with a cup of tea having a good old chat. This podcast does exactly that. Prepare to be engaged, learn, laugh and gain insight into the world if juggling a writing or creative career around...Read full review »
