“I used to love this show. It was by far my favorite podcast. And while the first 100 episodes or so are great, it's been a not so slow downward slide since then. There are a few exceptions (the episodes with Mitchell Davis are always great), and episodes with people you really like are probably still worthwhile (I enjoyed the interviews with Ashley Perez, Mayim Bialik, and Iliza Shlesinger). But for the most part, the show just isn't worth it anymore.
The biggest mistake with the newer episodes was relentlessly interviewing people from the same friend group week after week (so if you don't care about that particular group of people, prepare for two solid months of boring episodes). And now it seems to be a self-indulgent mix of third-rate television stars and her boyfriend's buddies. It's not terrible, but it's not great. Not good enough to make up for 20 minutes worth of awkwardly placed advertisements, though (including advertisements that follow Grace saying they are moving on directly to the guest).”Read full review »
