“The Now Playing podcast is a podcast focused on films (movies) and some TV shows, hosted by some articulate and knowledgeable Americans. They analyse the films in depth and at length, and their conversations are educational and entertaining. You'll enjoy listening in to their discussions.
I'd advise caution before you take out a subscription: the arcane and byzantine subscription system is difficult to understand and you'll never know what you'll get if you subscribe, since the "metal" "level" "series" subscription options aren't easy to understant. For example, at the end of one podcast, a subscription was suggested to gain access to the dystopia series ("1984", "Metropolis", etc), but after clicking the iTunes Subscribe button, and putting down nearly $100 for a subscription, I didn't get any of those, but I did get "Remo Williams" and "Jennifer's Body". Well, that's a dystopia of sorts, I suppose...
So I'd give a "strong recommend" to the main podcast feed itself, and there's plenty here to enjoy. But I'd hesstate before giving a mild "recommend" to a subscription - until they simplify it, and make it clear what you get, and that the details at the end of older podcasts are unlikely to be correct.”Read full review »
