“in listening to other film review podcasts, ive found that none seem to match up to this one. in every other podcast people seem to just ramble on about their likes and dislikes of a film. while with Now Playing, these guys actually guide you through the film from beginning to end. the chemistry between the 3 reviewers is a rare thing to find.
ive found myself getting nostalgic in going back to watch a movie and then listening to what these guys say about it. because of them , ive made myself go and watch all the Star Trek films and its made me somewhat of a Trek fan now.
ive enjoyed just about every retrospective series episode they've done. i think the weakest episodes were for The Terminator and T2. it seemed like no one new much of anything with those two classic films. which is surprising since they seem to do their research or know tidbits of trivia for other films they review. was the only time i felt letdown. if not for those 2 episodes, id say this podcast is absolutely perfect.
