I started listening to this podcast today after I got the results of my cholesterol labs, which showed my LDL-cholesterol as high. I have been looking for good, evidence-based health information on not only cholesterol but also HRT for menopause; glucose / insulin resistance; and diet and lifestyle. There is no shortage of forums, websites, YouTube videos, Instagrams, TikToks, and/or podcasts on these topics, but it is extremely difficult to find information that is not biased in one way or another. Thus far, I have learned some valuable things, like the fact that the Total Cholesterol-to-HDL ratio is outdated; and that HDL as an indicator of heart health is not very meaningful on an individual level. *Edited to add: I am further heartened (heh) by very negative reviews left by people who appear to be science-deniers.
