“I have a friend who has ulcerative colitis. She is 47 and has had terrible flare ups for 25 years. I have almost convinced her to go completely carnivore, but she is concerned about high cholesterol as she is on a medication that raises her cholesterol and a statin to control it. Also, she has to go on prednisone frequently. Could you talk about transitioning onto a carnivore diet with this disease in mind? She just jumped in even after I told her she should slowly change her meals and had a bad experience. I feel that a slow approach with digestive enzymes and supplements is probably the best way and I’m hoping you can talk about the general steps she should take and some recommendations for digestive support. Thanks so much for all that you do, I find all your topics very interesting and informative, even if they don’t pertain to me.”
