It is Christmas Eve, and Bluey tries to sneak over and peak at a present. Her dad catches her and tells her that Santa doesn’t give presents to naughty children—setting up the whole episode. Chilli is off to a baby shower, but Bluey does not want her to go. As soon as she leaves, Bluey misses her, so Bandit comes up with some games to distract her, but distraction only goes so far. Bluey asks her dad to call mom and ask her to come back, but as he does it, Bandit describes how much mom was looking forward to this, and Bluey thinks of what her mom wants and asks her dad to hang up. Bingo and Bluey want a pet. So Bandit, thinking it’s a wise move, employs the service of his hand to act as an emu named Shaun to show his kids how difficult a pet can be. Bandit takes the girls all over the house and the town and seems to annoy them but also amuse them. And it ends up tiring Bandit out way more, and he crashes in the late afternoon and just sleeps all the way till morning. Bluey is not showing manners at the dinner table, so her dad keeps ragging on the girls and Chilli until Chilli gets a little annoyed and gives Bluey a magic asparagus. The veggie turns people into any animal you want. So Bluey then makes a game of it and starts turning her family into different animals until she is exhausted and learns that dogs are not animals and they need to exhibit manners at the table, because sometimes manners can order life and make is less tiring.

Bluey and Bingo are getting ready for bed when Bluey starts to tease Bingo a little bit. Bingo complains and the parents get involved telling them they they should not tease one another. Then the girls launch a campaign against their dad for all the things he does to tease them. Bluey is playing a game of house in the playroom when Bingo comes in. She asks if anyone’s seen the couch cushions, but then joins Bluey building with the couch cushions Bluey has. It’s bedtime, but Bingo cannot find her beloved floppy. And we all know how kids can get if they don’t have their favorite stuffy to sleep with during bedtime. So Chilli, Bluey, and Bingo retrace their steps story at a time. The story is strange at first, but as they keep retracing their steps, we get more of what happened during this weird and crazy day that the Heelers had together. Bandit brings Bingo and Bluey to the supermarket to get some shopping done. But in the car ride there the two kids have a debate about who is the favorite child—note it’s always the oldest. When Bandit tells them that parents can’t have a favorite, Bluey goes full takeover and plays a game where she is the mom and Bingo and her dad are her two kids. The family comes back from Crazy World, a theme park close by. The parents are exhausted after a long day with the kids, but the kids are still awake and ready to go. Bluey has ADHD. And she cannot focus long enough on a task to be able to play a game with her family. The game they want to play is hide and seek, but Bluey loses her focus and ends up getting sidetracked by another toy.
