I am really interested in the finance and investment side of the industry. I have a few questions:
Are there any good indexes for new rig starts/how many existing rigs are currently having their capital equipment upgraded?
What is the typical lead time for an onshore rig?
How important is the influence of Wall Street in limiting large production increases? i.e. the shift from growth focus to profitability focus.
Since hydro-carbons do ultimately represent a finite resource, are any of the super-majors taking steps to diversify revenue streams/create a more resilient business?
