Great show but you should avoid problematic misinformation, even when joking
I thought the review “Ologies is the perfect lovechild between casual talk shows and NPR (and maybe a bit of shock jockey fun),” was spot on. In the Areology episode you asked about the last time Mars was habitable and gave two options 5 billion years ago or 30,000 billion years ago. Talking to an audience that is probably not highly scientifically literate I think there is a danger is giving absurdly wrong ideas (that might seem plausible) because people who do not know can pick up on such numbers and begin to anchor (the cognitive bias) to seriously incorrect information. If you had said, 5 billion years or 1492 I would loved that joke and wouldn’t have thought there was any problem with it. Keep up the great work, we need more scientific literacy.
