Om Swami says that a person who is religious believes in the power of an almighty, who is controlling certain things which they have no control over and to which they wish to be surrendered. A person who is spiritual may or may not believe in the existence of god but believes in living a life doing good deeds for their family, themselves and humanity. He says if a person’s nature is spiritual then somewhere they are religious and if a person is religious but their nature is not spiritual then they are not religious. For then it means that they have not understood their dharma but have just done acts of worship etc without understanding the deeper meaning in it. Om Swami further says that with divine grace a staunch atheist turns into a theist. A person should be open to the possibility of grace and when the time is right the universe makes it possible.
