Description
Two questions have been answered in this discourse. The first question asked was- How to control negative thoughts and excessive thinking? Om Swami says that as rightly asked in the question, these thoughts can be decreased but cannot be stopped completely. He says that according to his observation, women suffer more from it than men. A woman is usually lost in her world of dreams looking for love or wanting to belong to someone. This could probably be due to evolution, as she being the child bearer needed to be constantly alert in providing a safety net for her children. He says that no body can be happy at all times and life will have it’s good and bad moments. Om swami says that creativity dissolves negativity. Until one finds a purpose in life, they tend to make a person their purpose. This then brings suffering and unhappiness in life. Only when a purpose is found can one revel in their own existence he says. The second question asked was- What is the right way to sing the mahamanta, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna… Om Swami says that when it’s god one is calling then these small differences do not matter and nor will god mind.
