There are many D&D podcasts out there, and then there is Omen's Call. Moody, broody and dark from the start, the world of Midgard is brought to life by this show and aided by the magnificent and immersive soundtrack. The characters are fully realised and relatable, the story absolutely...Read full review »

This show is a great blend of mechanics, story and roleplaying. Caleb, the GM, does a wonderful job of leading the group on an interesting journey while allowing the players and the dice determine the details. The players roleplay a fun and interesting cast of characters. Each character is...Read full review »

Ill omens is a wonderful AP edited podcast in dnd 5e. The cast creates complicated characters which navigate Caleb’s twisted Midgard. I’ve enjoyed their other podcast Sounds like Crows and really appreciate that they have kept the challenging level of combat which made me love the other show so...Read full review »

I listen to several actual play podcasts and Omen’s Call is one of the best. It is a funny, scary, and always exciting adventure. The characters are interesting and the whole cast is fun to listen to.

Ill Omens is a fantastic and original actual play with some of the best soundscapes, narration, and roleplaying I’ve heard in podcasts. In the frozen north of Midgard, the players must battle the elements, rival gangs, giant ice creatures, and even the Gods themselves to save each other and their...Read full review »

Omens Call is a great actually play that separates itself from others with its heavily setting focus. For the entirety of the episode you’ll loose yourself in the mythos of the world. Follow a motley crew of mercenaries as they fight monsters, duel with gods, and deal with politics the Norn way!

Genuinely great campaign to listen to. An incredible story that takes you along for the adventures of different leaders working together and doing their best to keep their caravan a float. The crew of Omens Call does a beautiful job of interactive story telling that lets you get lost in the...Read full review »

What amazes me about this podcast is the dynamic between the players and the DM, as well as the well executed role play among the player characters. It is a well crafted story in a world where I can be sucked in and view the actual play in my mind’s eye. Well done and keep playing!

I mean, it’s brought to you from the Sounds Like Crowes team! Check this podcast out if you want an excellent 5E actual play with a great cast and great DM. They focus on all the right things: great descriptions, exciting combat, wonderful cast chemistry, and GREAT audio quality. The episodes...Read full review »

Ok, I’ve listened to a lot of D&D / RPG podcasts (NADDPOD, Dungeons and Daddies, Glass Cannon, TAZ, Pretending to be People etc), and this my favourite. The story and atmosphere are great, dark and gritty without going too gory. In a lot of RPG podcasts the mechanics of the system often get...Read full review »

Am a huge fan of this crew's other show, Sounds Like Crowes, and was excited to hear them launch a new podcast, this time played with D&D 5e instead of Savage Worlds, and set in Midgard. I knew it would be good, but am pleasantly surprised that it just dives in and hits the ground...Read full review »

Thanks for providing a thorough story thru the eyes of the characters. I’m so glad to hear their character voices and the creation of varying perspectives to give life to the world. There’s a history here, in their lives and between them. Looking forward to episode 3 and beyond! Jeff
