Although the book may not have a gender bias, the reviewer does. He states that for “Most people” going to work is a big portion of your time, in answer to tHe question “ what thing do you wake up every day looking to accomplish?” He goes on to say that “most people” going to work is in order to...Read full review »

I really did enjoy the episode about Yuval Harari’s book Sapiens, but I cringed every time you mispronounced Peugeot! You can find plenty of pronunciation vids on YouTube.

There’s a lot to love about On Books. It’s kind of like being in a two-person book club where the other person understood the material a lot better than you did but is generous and patient enough to explain it to you. The podcast covers many books I’ve read and loved, as well as others that are...Read full review »

Thank you for the episode about how not to die! I love the information, the less than 25 minutes aspect, and how your enjoyment of the book shows through.

I read a few of the books covered on this podcast, years ago. This podcast summed up the books perfect so I didn't have to go back and re-read. Super excited for more podcasts!Read full review »

Chris Castig does the work that many readers want but have no time to do. He scours the shelves to find the books that truly add value to one's life. Chris is a modern Renaissance man, and this is reflected in his wide-ranging yet always engaging book discussions. Check out his archives and...Read full review »

I just started listening to "On Books" and have already made it part of my daily routine (I have some catching up to do). It's so hard as an adult wth a full time job and young child to find the time to talk about/research/discuss literature, be it a new book or loved book from the...Read full review »

I’ve learned so much from this podcast. It makes my day. I love Chris and his podcast. Can you have a crush on someone’s voice? Someone should pay this guy the big bucks. Great gateway episode is “Mating in Captivity”…Sarah Peck is cool interviewee.

I've just completed listening to all available (so far). A few were interesting and valuable -- the rest were not. When the narrator is with his friends, the podcasts are poor. Their good time takes prioriry over content and quality. The narratro sounds to have an immature attachment to...Read full review »
