Producers should be ashamed
I was very interested after hearing the promo and I enjoyed the first episode. However, after listening to the second episode it became clear to me that the show was going to switch back and forth between the version of a 15 year old girl who was sexually trafficked to the perspective of older men who say she essentially deserved it or was “asking for it”. It isn’t uncommon for trauma victims to have inaccurate memories of the times they were abused and an underage girl can’t consent to these behaviors so I can’t get behind the idea that she “knew what she was doing” or is a “liar”. Really just disappointed something like this has been put out. It would have been interested to hear her story but I have no interest in the men defending their actions.

Well made, thoroughly researched, objective, and great writing. Listening to this brings back so many memories during this time. I live in the heart of Porn Valley now and recall how it was in the early 90s. So much has changed. I anticipate every episode.

All can think while listening to the first two episodes is that Lords was a child. The podcast keeps ignoring that element and instead wants to depict her as some kind of “vixen.” It’s not okay. Really awful.
