Weight is not just a number it’s a story. As a physician that specializes in weight management and wellness and having lost 60lbs (twice) myself I know there is so much more behind the scale. When we only focus on weight loss we lose focus on the whole person and the consequences are dangerous.
Thank you for raising awareness about DNP and the dangerous side effects. As a clinician it is so important to be aware of potential drugs my patients may be taking and the side effects. The side effects of DNP sound similar to neuroleptic malignant syndrome which is a rare but potential lethal side effect seen in some medications. While I pray I won’t have to treat anyone who’s taken DNP because this podcast effectively warns other not to take it; it’s helpful to think about potential treatment options when not in a life threatening situation.
