I would love to hear more of this type of journalism. I hope there is some sort of a season 2.

I had never heard of DNP before. This was a great podcast, very informative and revealing about this dangerous drug

Starts off with a bang, fascinating to begin with when it's sticking to facts and events. Unfortunately the podcast feels like it's about two episodes too long as it begins to devolve into the sort of overly obvious, preachy body image issues best left to school health class.Read full review »

Well done! I couldn’t stop listening. Very disturbing content. I have unfollowed for season 2 because I recently listened to another podcast with an in-depth look at the history of drug rehab facilities starting with Synanon. But I look forward to season 3

Back in 1976 there was a weight loss clinic in St. Louis, Missouri called Millay Clinic. I remember reading the St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper article—an exposé—warning the public. And to make it all the more real included yearbook style headshot photos of all the women who had died under...Read full review »

Interesting story until the last episode when it took a turn into oppression porn. Framing pressure to be thin as “weight oppression” is nonsense. But this is 2022 so everything is a form of systemic oppression.

An investigative podcast exploring the use of a toxic substance to lose weight. Combines history, modern science, and human narratives to craft a compelling statement on human bodies and government oversight.

WOW
I had never heard of DNP and the history and current issues are such a wild ride. Well done investigative podcast.

Great investigation and analysis with a human touch. Sadly the final episode turns to feminist propaganda to provide closure thus pretty much negating all the good work done.

One of the most haunting podcasts I’ve listened to, and brilliantly produced.

This story is amazing and terrifying at the same time. I enjoy podcasts and like to talk about them. This one feels dangerous to discuss. From people using off market medications for Covid, and friends recovering from eating disorders, I’m conflicted. I want them to hear this story, but I don’t...Read full review »

I really enjoyed this podcast. It’s a fresh story. It’s well researched. It is presented in an interesting way. My only complaint is how surprised I was that in this era of supposed equality, the way that men struggle with body image/eating disorder/dysmorphia is presented in a much different way...Read full review »

I really enjoyed the high quality content you guys brought. The authenticity was there and it was informative, touching and very eye opening for me as a male hearing the about the monster that we as a society created called the “perfect body” and has motivated me to do my best to fight for do my...Read full review »

This series is so well done. I love the structure of having two hosts and multiple people interviewed. The topic is so very tragic, and I’m grateful that the podcast brought attention to a dangerous chemical. I had no idea until listening to the podcast that it was so hard to prosecute and find...Read full review »

There is a lot of good going on in this podcast! Good sound quality, well narrated, intro and outro music that is not jarring or played over the interviews, and riveting subject matter. Thank you for not being repetitious; I find myself bailing out on a lot of podcasts these days because they...Read full review »

First four episodes were pretty good. Explanation of DNP was good, hearing out it affected people was extremely sad. But then the series started to take a bad turn. It called for a repeal of 230, which would be horrible and give more control to the government and big tech, and then they started...Read full review »

This podcast is heart wrenching but the story is beautifully woven together in this short series. Thank you for informing me of yet another unfortunate diet culture product that is extremely scary and can inform my clients of the dangers if they ask (I’m an eating disorder dietitian).

One Click is one of the most interesting podcasts I’ve picked up in a long while. It has appeal for a wide audience, and important information for all types - the youthful internet generation; feminists of all genders; people struggling with body issues. This show would be great as required...Read full review »

Great podcast! Informative, interesting, and amusing. I like how they dug deep into structural issues and managed to keep the listener on their toes. A good slow burn and very well done:)

This is so well made and very disturbing. It’s so relatable and so sad. I absolutely love this podcast and I hope everyone hears it and learns how to protect themselves and others.

The main takeaway from this podcast is that DNP is an effective diet drug, and a small number of users overdose on it. I’m pretty sure that’s not what they were going for?

Surprised by how well done this podcast is, who knew Elle Fanning was a natural podcaster? Great and wonderfully paced story that exposes the darkest sides of diet culture.

This series starts with the tragic outcome of a quest for the perfect body but then delves into the history of how the pressure to look a certain way has impacted our health and happiness for way too long. Important lesson, brilliantly told. Enough is enough.

This is a well done podcast concerning a drug that none of us knew about. It also made me realize we really can get stuff off the internet that will kill us.
