Funny, Well Produced, Professional
I was looking for a podcast that demonstrated a variety of role playing systems, and found this to be perfect. They play systems from the well known to newer. indie games. Its very well produced, that is to say the audio quality is high and its edited so you don't have 4 hours, filled with downtime, set up, etc. The players are very diverse, with various levels of role playing experience. The regulars are great but the variety of guests also keeps things fresh. The vibe is generally light and comedic yet they still are better at the role playing aspect than many other podcasts, thanks to the professional DM and players. Was disappointed at the limited Sanford and Son references during the Dungeon World adventure though. Things I'd like to see (apologies in advance for the large list): -a buddy cop movie send up (there have been a few systems kickstarted around this concept, including one called One Day Until Retirement, or perhaps a return to Feng Shui) -Danger Patrol -Apocalypse World/Some of the various *world/PbtA games out there (Pirate World, Inverse World, etc) -Shadowrun -Giant Guardian Generation -More Cthulhu anythingRead full review »
