“Listened to a few episodes and frankly can’t find the point and certainly don’t feel it’s connected to Living a Larger Life. I respect that these are very well educated and well read people so they do try to approach the subjects with some knowledge. It seems they are trying to branch beyond just speaking about health and wellness and maybe that’s what they want to do but it drives a randomness to the subject matter and structure. Every episode starts with a round table that asks each person what they’re thinking about and that can be absolutely anything from politics to culture with no discernible connection to the show’s stated purpose. Every conversation is ultimately dominated by James even on issues such as female body positivity reflected in Disney characters or ovarian cancer research where I feel the women in the group may have a lot more to contribute. When the last episode started connecting politics of DeSantis and nefarious Disney messaging, I realized that nothing in any of these episodes had contained useful information about health, longevity, wellness, or connection and did not connect to anything I felt was aimed towards a better sense of being, larger life etc. If you absolutely love these particular people (especially James and Carl who speak the most by far) and are willing to let them expound without limits on any topic then you’ll like the show. Otherwise it may as well be any 4 people at a bar discussing any topic, although at least these people are more well read on the topics they choose (only reason for 2 stars over 1)”
