Most Important Book I’ve ever read
My father was born in Jim Crow Texas in 1914. He was white and he was racist. And this book has been like an opening to my heart. Do understand him and our country has been so liberating. I am so so grateful.

I am a 54 yr old black woman and this book is transformative. It has helped me understand so many incidents in my life. No matter your race, no one is exempted from the structure of caste here in the US. Bravo Professor Wilkerson, for illuminating this important yet difficult topic.
