Wonderful, Enlightening and Engaging Book
Isabel Wilkerson has a wonderful way of bringing dry material to life and making it enthralling reading. The horror of what our culture has inflicted on POC, minorities and truly all of us through this caste system is really on display in these pages. I’ll admit I didn’t know some of the history discussed and felt ashamed that I never knew it. I also find it fascinating that there are still a number of people who are made so incredibly uncomfortable when they hear about this topic that they feel the need to denigrate both Oprah and Wilkerson rather than taking a look in the mirror. Their reviews of this podcast say all that needs to be said about just how far this country has yet to go in terms of really addressing the root causes and finding solutions. This book and podcast are a place to start. Intelligent, insightful writing. Much appreciated.
