A light in the dark
Anything that is a catalyst for real change meets resistance as evidenced by those who seek to disparage such an important work during such an important time. Opening minds is more like cracking nuts than cracking eggs. I commend Oprah for giving a voice to do many who never had one. It’s not anyone’s place to judge her because of her success. People forget she lived what’s in this book as a child and young adult and as long as her skin is black, yes, she can speak on the topic of Caste. Great job getting the long overdue conversations going!

I read this book from cover to cover...learned more and grew from it more than any other book I’ve ever read. The author writes with heart, clarity and most importantly, actual historical research. Me Wilkerson, thanks for writing this book...it was the most important read of our time.
