Description
Welcome to a special edition of the OTB Crew Podcast In this podcast I fly solo (because Lani, Lach and Josh were asleep, it's a time zone thing), and go one on one with the South African superstar breaking all the Junior World records and even beating our own Kyle Chalmers, Matthew Sates. I chat to Matt while he is in Doha for the World Cup series and get a great insight into one of the biggest names in world swimming right now. We discuss his amazing success in Budapest breaking junior short course world records and what it has been like trying to deal with the media attention that comes with that. As well we talk about his 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games experience and what a great help South African legend Chad Le Clos has been to him through his rise in world swimming. This is a fantastic conversation with a young swimmer who really is one of the most talked about athletes in world swimming right now, and for someone with such a bright future he has such a level head and gives some great advice and insights that i think we all could learn a thing or two from.
