“I love the concept of this show and hearing all the different lifestyles, however the hosts are way too agreeable for the sake of avoiding conflict. Some of the people you have on live straight up harmful lifestyles and you not challenging them could influence listeners to make maybe not so great decisions. For example, the latest episode with the girl who doesn’t shower or brush her teeth, that’s something from the Middle Ages. People for hundred of years died early because of bad hygiene, and while the hosts said it isn’t a lifestyle for them, they avoided challenging her beliefs. It’s common knowledge that good hygiene leads to a healthier life and it’s sad that the hosts just smile and nod. And it’s not just this episode, it’s a theme with the really out there lifestyles. I’m aware they aren’t trying to judge, but come on not everyone deserves validation. To the woman who hates all men: grow the f up. You’re as much of a generalist pig as the rest of the world that you so much want to change. Yet, you’re a hypocrite misandrist. If you had a bad experience with someone of a different race, and this changed your view on that entire race, you would be a racist for putting every single person in a box and deciding you hate them/fear them. If I said I was scared to walk in a bad neighborhood, it would be racist to be scared of another race. So you being scared of men, definition of sexism. There’s no such thing as reeves equality like it seems like you are entitled to, rather there is only equality. Men and women living together in harmony. You’re so naive and have so much to learn in order to feel a fulfilled life. I pity you and the hatred inside of you.
Update: just wanted to say that my review above is from about two years ago, I have continued to listen and am pleased with how your interview skills have evolved over the years. You guys have a great balance of making the guests feel comfortable but also call out harmful behavior in a way that doesn’t turn off the guest from sharing. Your handle on the man who ruins straight relationships was absolutely perfect, not a lot of people could have handled that conversation as you two did. Great job, will listen to this show as long as it runs!”
