Interesting, but flawed
I enjoy the podcast talking to interesting folks from our culture, but Jay Rayner is the Marmite of podcast hosts - you either love Jay or you hate him. He is clearly an engaging conversationalist with his guests, but his ego, does sometimes get in the way of his guest, which I find off putting. I assume (it sounds as such from Jay’s comments, but I’m not 100% sure) the food is provided to Jay free of charge by the relevant restaurant, which, given the pandemic and the hospitality industry’s struggles, it would be nice to see them paid (surely a sponsor can pony up the money?).

Great work on a very entertaining podcast! I came across this via The Off Menu podcast; really a good find. Excellent choice of guests, and the approach gets the best out of the conversations I’ve heard so far- don’t change a thing, good job all involved.

Loved it, gently explorative, not forced. Looking forward to hearing more. Thank you for improving my day.
