Allows the guest to talk
I read Jay’s necessarily opinionated restaurant reviews in The Observer; they are good. It was a pleasant surprise to find that he can also interview a guest. Allows them to talk without constant interruption and in the process we learn more. This is not a food podcast as such; food is incidental. It’s the guest who takes centre stage and this is an excellent podcast for that alone. Production values are also splendid. Cannot be easy to record in a restaurant setting and this is dealt with well.

Great show, I’ve listened to the Mark Gatiss one and the Jason Isaacs one and they’ve been great listening. Proper laugh-out-loud moments and great tales over what sounds like incredible food! Hello to Jason, looking forward to Reginald D Hunter!
