Excellent podcast! As you pointed out things have not changed, unfortunately, from the injustices of the days of Japanese internment. May everyone who gardens give a nod to those brave citizens who found and created beauty from these despicable circumstances! Thank you, Sarah.

This is an amazing and insightful podcast that brings light to outdoor experiences and BIPOC voices that have often been overshadowed by White voices in the past.

It’s an absolute relief to finally see a high-production podcast about the great outdoors work to bridge the gaps in the intersectionality between it and race. It’s a conversation that’s long over due and Sarah is a terrific host and guide for the process.

It’s so nice to hear these stories about people and their experiences with nature and how it’s greatly impacted their lives. As someone who loves the outdoors, these stories will inspire you to go outside even more and make it more of a communal experience. Sarah also has a great soothing voice...Read full review »

Thank for creating this space, there was one specific podcast that reminded me of home, where the elders would go to their gardens specifically all grandmothers. It warmed my heart to see how much strength they had in them still. Listening to these I would be talking away to myself like “yessss!”...Read full review »

The outside voices podcast does something no other podcasts are doing at the moment. Telling the stories of BIPOC in the outdoors, not as a way to include diversity, equity, inclusion or justice in their repertoire but in an authentic, ethical, reciprocal way. BIPOC aren’t new to the outdoors,...Read full review »

I love this podcast because it’s so important to amplify BIPOC voices in the outdoors as well as marginalized people in the outdoors too. Including fat people and the LGRBQ+ community. So this podcast is a refreshing change from always hearing from the typical thin white men or women. So thank you!
