I did want to keep this conservative-leaning podcast in my rotation to keep me grounded (yes, conservative--these are suburban middle-aged white women living in Kentucky after all, they are close to the power structure and not at all impacted by things like police brutality or mass incarceration to actually want to do anything meaningful about them, even as Beth is particularly adept at saying all the right things; the willingness to uphold the system as it is became especially clear when Beth at one point admitted podcasting has become her full-time job, and I wonder if it even occurred to them that the reason Apple promoted their podcast had to do with their whiteness and the safeness of their approach to politics). However, I finally unsubscribed because the content was no longer worth all the ads in each episode. Toward the end, their take on covid had also become unusually thoughtless. I did listen to the episode with Beth's husband (side note: say what you want about Sarah, but her chemistry with her husband is #relationshipgoals), and no doubt his thinking on covid has a lot of influence on her.... all while she admitted science wasn't her best subject! tl;dr Decent podcast to keep leftists updated on current liberal talking points IF the covid talks and the ads stopped.Read full review »

Their discussion and debate is a breath of fresh air in this political climate. Particularly, Beth's (the...Read full review »
