“This podcast is an excellent example of why it’s worth it to pay for a good editor & experienced voice actors. The idea is solid and really interesting, so I’m continuing to listen but the awkward amateur voice acting can be really grating. The writing is generally good but suffers occasionally - for example, overuse of adverbs (especially “quickly”) demonstrates why you shouldn’t edit your own work.
Some people might dislike the slow pace, but I like the real-time aspect, and the foley/sound effects are really good.
Overall, it’s a good effort that could have been outstanding. It’s a gripping story despite some clunkiness.”
