Cheerleading for the NFL
I have been disappointed with this podcast. Peter King is not a natural broadcaster and lacks the basic skills to engage an audience. But most listeners can live with that if the content is interesting. After listening to a little more than a dozen of these, the part that is most frustrating is that it is mostly propaganda for the NFL. That just is not interesting. This was never more evidenced than in Peter's episode on helmet technology. If ever there was a subject where true investigation needed to be done in football, it is that one. Instead it is an NFL party line commercial for how the NFL has thrown money at the problem and done miraculous things to stem concussions in three years with new helmet technology. This wasn't crticial treatment...all the folks working and being funded by the NFL saying what the NFL pays them to say, it was a commerical. And it is a perfect example of what you will get here...a love letter to the NFL. A disappointing endeavor for a journalist with Peter King's reputation and resume.Read full review »

Peter always gives me the vibe that he feels he's better than you. But he does a good job interviewing the guests. I would recommend the podcast.Read full review »

The interviews themselves are pretty good....but this podcast is horrible. WAY too many advertisements, and he talks painfully slow during the ads. Overall I'm very disappointed with this podcast!!Read full review »
