One of the most common causes of discord in any relationship is unmet expectations. The crazy thing is that we often have expectations we haven't even communicated to the other person. We also have the unrealistic idea that there is this one perfect person out there that is going to meet all of our relationship expectations and this sets us up for disappointment.
