EXECELENT AND WORTHWHILE
These podcasts are excellent. The hosts have the chance to interview some of the best philosophical minds of our time. Definitely worth listening to. I would like to point out that pretty much anyone that gave this podcast 2 or less stars mainly objected to the episode on Evil. These critics obviously dislike the atheist position taken by the guest and are taking out their dislike on the show itself, DO NOT let this argument dissuade you from listening even if you are a believer in God. Secondly I would like to address a claim made by Atomike that the guests lack "philosophical understanding" and most likely don't even have "a degree in philosophy." It is obvious that Atomike himself does not have any kind of philosophical training if he is incapable of recognizing names like Kymlicka, Cohen, Wolff, Singer and Appiah. These are extremely well distinguished philosophers holding prestigious positions at very reputable institutions. Sometimes I honestly wonder how the hosts are able to rope in some of these guests. My only complaint about the show is that it is UK-centric. I wish that more continental and US based philosophers were interviewed. I do understand, however, the constraints of $ and geography that the hosts are undoubtedly facing and would like to wholeheartedly thank them for providing this philosophy grad student with something meaningful to listen to on my long commutes.Read full review »

The interviews flow well without dragging, and the questions asked are succinct yet interesting. I love listening to this, and...Read full review »

This is a very interesting podcast, altough I oppose a lot of the views expressed. Still, very much worth listening to.

I listened to three of these podcasts. Only one (architecture) had anything new to offer. One in particular (problem of evil) was not only pompous, but remarkably, full of holes. Evil is equated with suffering (they are not the same thing), then immediately used as conclusive evidence that God...Read full review »
