“If it’s good enough for Warren Buffett, it’s good enough for me”
I love this podcast because it helps me understand an important topic I don’t care enough to invest into learning myself: economics. It really is “Economics for Dummies” as I saw someone call it on these reviews. I also love the unexpected laughs it’s given me. My boyfriend and I don’t know anything about investing, so we wanted to look into it. To my delight, an episode recently re-ran (with an update) about a bet over whether hedge funds or index funds are more likely to give you a better ROI. After listening to it, I had a whole speech ready to go to convince my boyfriend that index funds are the way to go. To back me up, I played him the podcast, after which he said, “No more evidence needed. If it’s good enough for Warren Buffett, it’s good enough for me.” I died laughing! We also really enjoyed the episode about the fake bank used to track drug traffickers. Thanks for the great times, Planet Money. Keep up the great work!

The host is good at coaxing clear,...Read full review »

The people they find to explain complex subjects are remarkable -- they aren't just...Read full review »
