A worthy successor to the tome show ;-)

While the discussion-based shows have been slightly less enjoyable for me, this is a unique podcast where Ben is often bringing new, original research to the (gaming) table. Love hearing his insights on the early days of TSR and WOTC, plus his general perspective on gaming which I find myself...Read full review »

Generally a good dynamic (except on the review of Scion...that became a bit of a rant) and has some first rate thinking about RPGs

Ben and crew produce great episodes that are really informative and thought provoking. It has helped reshape some of my views on DnD and his historical episodes are fascinating. I particularly like that Ben doesn’t have to use profanity to be funny. Rather, he is articulate and mindful of the...Read full review »

Plot points is really interesting and smart reviews of RPG adventures. It’s not just “I liked this, I don’t like that” it’s discussion of the structure and design of these things and why some work and some don’t.

The show is covering gaming subjects with laser point accuracy and the hosts usually have plenty to add from different perspectives. I really enjoy how they are able to cover a topic very well and not repeat each other.

If you love table top role playing games, this podcast will delight you by subjecting them to a literary analysis. It's fun, interesting and very enjoyable. The intro is a funky delight, the hosts are insightful and each bring a unique and informed take on the topic. This is a podcast...Read full review »

This mix of looking at the theme, literary angles, influences & more at roleplaying game material is just great as well as seeing how effective it is not only as a piece of written work but also how well it is for putting in your game (with the existing system or translating it to your...Read full review »

I've listened to every episode from the beginning. I was looking for a gaming podcast one day and ran across these guys. I like their fresh perspective on actual gaming content. However I don't like when they haven't played the content. First example is reviewing Ravenloft when...Read full review »

Great show. Brad and Ben need to listen to Sarah as she right - except when discussing her opinion of D&D. :)

This has become my RPG methadone. While I can't play RPG's as much as I would like, I can enjoy listening to the Plot Points crew talk about gaming. The biggest problem is that they make everything sound so much fun--even the modules they are highly critical of--that I want to buy it...Read full review »

This is a great podcast that looks at RPGs, scenarios, and other items in gaming and provides an excellent overview of them. The three podcasters do a great job of looking at all aspects of a game and provide an interesting perspective of it. This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts...Read full review »

I stumbled upon this podcast while looking for something new to listen to. I wasn't sure about the idea of a module review vs. actual play, but I thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did because it was totally worth it. I've now listened to most of the shows and am awaiting...Read full review »

While I have always been a very casual RPG player, my husband is pretty hard core. I love that this podcast breaks down the storyline, gives pros and cons to playability and writing style, and gives you a brief overview of what to expect. Hands down my favorite is Star Trek: The Next Generation,...Read full review »
