Essential listening
If you are interested in anti-racism, or politics, or history, Pod Save the People is essential listening. DeRay Mckesson and his cohosts bring me up-to-date weekly on what's happening in the world, from a wide variety of sources I might not otherwise encounter. I look forward to Sam Sinyangwe's vital statistics on systemic racism and other flaws built into our economy and politics. I always end up citing his findings to strengthen my arguments. I miss co-hosts Brittany Packnett Cunningham and Clint Smith, but their replacements are equally worthy. Kaya Henderson, former chancellor of the DC public schools, has an insider's understanding of the challenges Covid brings to education. Attorney De'Ara Balenger had put in the hard work on almost every social justice movement. It pays to follow the current and former hosts on social media, too.Read full review »
