“Wer ist denn die Zielgruppe für diesen Podcast?? Warum ist das auf Englisch? Stellt man sich vor, dass Australier sich das anhören? Oder Hörer in England wenn der Podcast doch einen deutschen Namen hat?
I fell off the chair during the first couple of minutes listening to the most one-linear outdated non-Indigenous version of Australia’s history. Who in 2021 talks about Australia having been “discovered”?! The use of the term ‘middle class’ when talking about 18th century convicts being banished from England to penal colonies also had me baffled. And that not the slightest hint of a context about the brutal dispossession of the peoples inhabiting this Southern Land was given.
What a great opportunity this could have been to introduce a German-speaking audience to an extraordinary chapter of Jewish history.”
