“I have taught bilingual kindergarten for 13 years (and middle school for 12 years before that - I was trained in single subjects originally) and I recently stumbled apon this podcast. It has opened a whole new world for me because I hadn't even thought about podcasts in education before. I am at a point in my career where I'm ready and thirsty to learn more about the kindergarten world and I want to see if there are more things I can do to help my students learn and grow. This podcast is filling in various gaps for me (I'm listening to all of the episodes from the beginning and finding gems in each one!) and explaining the rationale of teaching techniques some of which I was using already but wasn't really sure if they were good or not. It is helping me to flesh out my program without taking a lot of extra work and I can listen while preparing food and cleaning up in the kitchen. I believe that teaching kindergarten is this great tradition to be passed on from generation to generation and I am so appreciative of the time and love that Lyndsey and Kathy have put into this amazing resource so that I can learn more of this amazing tradition and be state of the art -research based - at the same time. I am enjoying teaching much more, my classroom is already becoming a more vibrant learning place and my students are becoming more enthusiastic and I suspect their academics are improving also as a result!
