“I stumbled onto PodCastle shortly after it fissioned from EscapePod, and I've been listening to both ever since (including listening to their archived stories as well). It's undergone a change in editorial staff and so has slightly shifted in content and topic, but I love how the quality and mind/heart-prodding nature has remained the same. Some of the recent stories have moved me to tears (I was warned), and I considered myself too busy for crying. Amazing, amazing work.
Also, I'm writing this after reading other reviews. There's a great mixture of speculative fiction, elves and swords fantasy, and all sorts of types in between. If you like a particular kind of fantasy fiction, it's not hard to pick and choose among the episodes, now that they've got several years' worth in their feed. Give it a try!”Read full review »
