PodCastle Defied Expectations
When I first heard that Escape Artists were going to launch PodCastle I was dubious. I'm more of a scifi guy and fantasy just isn't my bag. Plus, some of the fantasy stories that made it on to Escape Pod turned me off. I just wasn't all that excited about PodCastle. Until I heard the first story, that is. Lady Death had me riveted in it's elegance and suspense. If PodCastle can keep putting out yarns of that caliber then I'm in for the long haul!Read full review »

A simply stunning collection of fantastical short stories with a breadth and scope that covers all aspects of fantasy. Well chosen material, interesting hosts and beautiful readings add up to a podcast you really shouldn't miss. Download it, you won't regret it!

Most of the stories and most of the narration on Podcastle are excellent, excellent, and some are sublime. Occasional meh ones, too, but pretty infrequently.
