Today's podcast is brought to you by @pin_kpoet (instagram). This poem reminded me to not argue with others just to prove a point. We all live in our own reality and have different perceptions of the world. It's not worth arguing against a hard-headed individual because in their eyes you'll never be right. IT TAKES TWO TO ARGUE, save your breath.  --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast:...

Today's poem is brought to you by @thepainpoet (instagram). I believe this poem has a very deep message within it in which it's always good to check on people and be there for them in a time of need but it brings up the thought of will they reciprocate that helping hand back. As in when you're in a time of suffering and pain will the people you were there for, be there for you? To be honest you won't know the answer to that until that time comes. All you can do is hope that you've surrounded...

Podcast link in bio! Today's podcast is brought to you by @poemsporn_ (instagram). This poem is fierce and powerful. Never let anyone make you question how great you are because you're amazing. If anyone tells you otherwise they're tripping because who are they to judge your self-worth? I just wanted to remind you guys how great you are if you already didn't know that. Especially to my writers/poets KEEP F*CKING SHARING YOU'RE WORK! If people f*ck with it they f*ck with it if not who cares...

Today's podcast is brought to you by @hidden_daydreamer (instagram). The words in this poem mean a lot to me because this is how I live my life in which I try to carry positive vibes at all times. I've been through it all, I've had people that hurt me and I've done things that I regret but I realize all you can do is learn from all these experiences. If you've ever been hurt by anyone, which I have and many of you can relate as well, just let that sh*t go. Because if you keep that grudge...

Today's podcast is brought to you by @tenebrispoetry (instagram). I wanted to share this poem because it felt so relatable to me. Each day is different and on bad days I question my self-worth. I begin to ponder whether I need to be doing more in life and my mind gets cluttered with many things. On bad days, I start stressing about past decisions that I've made and now regret. In retrospect, I also have days where everything's fine and I'm happy. This love/hate relationship with myself is a...

Today's poem is brought to you by @trainoftalks . I think there's a really important lesson within this poem which is to live in the now. We tend to get caught up in our heads thinking about our past, future, and even our phones distract us from living in the present. All these distractions have caused me to forget the value of living in the now. After messaging the writer of the poem she explained that this poem is written for a loved one that recently passed away (I realized this poem was...

Today's podcast is brought to you by @word.sparkle20n (instagram). When I was young my mom would continuously lecture me saying, "You are your friends or you are the people you surround yourself with". At that time I didn't quite understand what that meant, but as I got older what my mom was lecturing about made sense. My mom wanted me to surround myself with friends that have good morales and will help me grow. Show me who your friends are, and I will tell you what you are. This poem...

Today's poem is brought to you by @musings.and.ink (instagram). This poem reminds me of how important meditation is, especially through tough times like this because of the Coronavirus. It's always good to check on yourself and enjoy some soul time. The world moves fast and I usually get burnt out in some instances. To deal with it and slow things down I begin to meditate. Dig into your thoughts and check on yourself. Your own voice in what matters the most. SILENCE IS GOLDEN. --- This...

Today's poem is brought to you by @pattywrites (instagram). I wanted to share this poem with you all just to remind you guys to not be ever ashamed of yourself. Whether it's the color of your skin, your face, your height, & most importantly your personality. You are unique in your own way so don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for embracing yourself. Beauty is only skin deep, what's more important is finding a balance of mind, body, and spirit. YOU ARE LEGEND.  --- This episode is...

Today's poem is brought to you by @_beautifulfailure_ (instagram). I wanted to share this poem because the lesson in this poem is very meaningful. There are two sides to this poem which are; 1) Don't be a person that consistently keeps making the same mistakes after apologizing or regretting that mistake 2) Don't be a person that continues to forgive people that continuously hurt you over and over again because then that person will think saying a simple "I'm sorry" will fix everything....

Today's poem is brought to you by @_wordrealm_ (instagram). Whoever has experienced trauma in their past can really connect with this poem. I wanted to share this poem because of its beautiful aesthetic and strong meaning. I can personally relate to this poem based on my childhood, as a child growing up around poverty things weren't easy, but because of these struggles, it made me become a more grateful and humble person. I just wanted to remind everyone that YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOUR...

Today's poem is brought to you by @lalalandofpoems (instagram).  I personally fancy the aesthetic of this poem, the way the words and art correlate with one other. Growing up I always judged people based on their character and not their looks. What I realize is that everyone has thorns on their stems aka every person is a bit crazy in their own regards, including me of course. You can never judge a book by its cover.  --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a...

Today's poem is brought to you by @a.elise_writer (instagram). I will for sure be keeping this poem in the back of my pocket to view when I am having an unpleasant day. If you're experiencing a bad day, slow down and zoom out. Realize that tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start. Start thinking about your life and how grateful you are to still be alive. Sometimes one little problem can shadow how blessed I am to be in the situation that I am in. Once you zoom out on the problems you're dealing...

Today's poem is brought to you by @callistopoet (instagram). This is truly a very sad poem that caught my eye. When I read this poem it reminded me of my past lover. These memories that flash in my mind, although it was so long ago, I wish I could forget them. It brings up a bigger picture of how important memories are to each of us as human beings. Sadly if this poem can relate to anyone reading it, that person that comes up in your mind while reading this poem probably feels the same way...

Podcast link in Bio! Today's poem is brought to you by @artfullycat (instagram). As I am getting older I slowly start realizing how valuable time is, so I began being more selective of who the people I give my time for. If you had a falling out with someone because they hurt you, don't let it keep hurting you. That's what the other person wants, but understand you can't let that pain keep bothering you. Let it go and keep positive vibes. There's no point in weighing yourself down.  ---...

Podcast Link in Bio! Today's poem is brought to you by @random.poetry.ca (instagram). This poem really reminded me of when I immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old. At first, I was very scared and I thought I was going to lose everything but I was wrong. 20 plus years later I have created tons of new friendships and opportunities through my time here in the United States. This comes to a bigger topic which is change. A lot of people are scared of change but change is good....

Today's poem is brought to you by @the_unprofessional_writer (instagram) . This poem is for all the poets! The amount of meaning and emotions that go into poets' work is unparalleled because the poem itself reflects the writer's life. The writing within those pieces is a piece of the poet's life that they are sharing with the world. The poem itself becomes art based on the person's trauma or experiences that they have been through. If you read a collection of poetry that one person has...

Today's poem is brought to you by @starving.artist.archives (Instagram). I enjoyed this lovely poem because this is my motto towards treating the people I love. The way I approach love is like giving a Christmas gift in which I don't expect or want anything in return. I do things for the people I love not wanting anything in return because I love them whether its a family member, spouse, or friend. I believe that when you do good, blessings will come your way.  --- This episode is...

Today's poem is brought to you by @themorningair (instagram). This poem is immeasurable because I never saw things in this aspect. I always thought when an unfortunate event within my life occurred that it was all bad, but after reading this poem I realized that bad things have made me become the strong person I am today. An example would be the death of my grandparents who were like a father/mother figure to me. Because of their death, I became a stronger person that appreciates the value of...

Today's poem is brought to you by @thewallflowerwriter (instagram). This poem takes me back to my college days when I went to parties and felt like the odd man out. Although there were many people there I felt even more alone because I was stuck in my own mind. I didn't feel like I fit in and I think that was because of my insecurities. Although that was at the beginning of my college years during my junior and senior year I learned to accept myself and became more social. I learned that you...

Today's poem is brought to you by @fajsin.ali.poetry (Instagram). This poem really resonates with me because there have been situations where these thoughts come to my mind towards people I am close with or use to be close with. Whether it was because of a disagreement, different values, or something the other person said, I have cut off those relationships aka buried them. This poem makes me want to become a better communicator because instead of thinking these thoughts I can approach that...

Pain in temporarily. As humans, we will encounter some kind of situation when we feel great suffering but it's how you rebound from that pain that will determine what type of person you are. I was in great pain when my grandpa passed away and I felt I was drowning in the bottom of the ocean. My grandpa was like a father to me but I regret not spending more time with him when he was alive. Through prayer, I was able to feel better although it took a couple of months. Today's poem is brought to you by @life_is_poetry3(instagram username). Being an over-thinker can cause a person to become stagnant and doubt oneself. For any dreams/goals anyone wants to accomplish, PURSUE THEM. Overthinking can cause a person to become fearful of following their dreams because many doubts come to mind why you won't accomplish your goal whether it not being good enough, not rich enough, or popular enough, etc. An example is this podcast of mine. Many doubts and questions...
