“As a fellow Pokemon Podcaster and the owner of a Tabletop RPG Asset Studio I can't believe I didn't find these guys sooner. Pokemon World Tour: United is a mix of my favorite things. It was recommened to me by one of my own fans (who is also a fan here) and so I checked it out. I don't regret doing so for a minute. Join Jake, Josh, and their GM Alan as two friends (Rose and Cobalt) traverse Kanto on their own quest to be the best like no one ever was.
The time and care these guys clearly put in to crafting this show is evident from the word go. Josh and Jake are great. They really commit to their characters and have a blast doing it. Alan takes exceptional care in crafting and describing the world around them. His stories are rich, exciting and feel authentically Pokemon. He's a top notch GM who knows when the rules work and when house rules make more sense and add to the experience / presentation.. The fact they invite guests on to the show is absolutely amazing and provides variety to keep things fresh.
All of this doesn't even touch the technical aspect of Podcasting. If you don't actively work on Podcasts or in some other audio medium you might think all of this just happens. It doesn't. Audio tracks need to be cut, scrubbed of background nouse, volume balanced and edited together. These guys do a masterful job of this.
If you enjoy tabletop gaming and/or Pokemon do yourself a favor and give them a try. You won't regret it.”Read full review »
