More audiobook than tabletop! Fantastic. 10/10.
It's less a tabletop game, and more a Pokemon audio drama with tabletop elements. That's how fluid the narrative and battles are - they are FLAWLESS. The audio mixing? Beautiful. I'm doing that Pacha kiss, it's that perfect. Do you like recurring characters that are important but still side characters? Yeah? You're gonna LOVE Shannon's character. Do you want to know how to Game Master BUT also be able to have a character in the mix? Meet Victor, an underage Pokemon Trainer with a service Lillipup. Best GMPC I've come across in my years of both PLAYING tabletop RPGs and LISTENING to RPGcasts. Rose and Cobalt are fantastic characters. Rose is a Jenny that refused to join the police force (but is better at being a cop than everyone else, seriously, just get some training and go patrolling on your journey!). Cobalt is a good boyo who's dumb as a rock, but sweet as hell. He loves taking selfies and Chansey pics, and also he's made friends with nearly everyone with the power of Friendship Jerky. Oh, and you think I'm limiting the praise to the HUMAN characters? No. Scramble the Togepi either is a god, could kill god, or HAS killed god, AND I DO NOT CARE TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. Bango is a wonderful Growlithe boyo. TBD is a lovely macguffin of a Ditto and we all love and fear him. Treble the Cyndaquil is a baby (TM), as is Baritone. Sakura the Bulbasaur is a good representation of abandoned animals that fear rejection (I've seen it myself). And Treble. God I love that little jerk of a Nidoran. The world building is perfect and I feel like I'm actually following a real journey in the Pokemon world. Yall keep doing Arceus' work. EDIT: HOW COULD I FORGET BISCUIT? Let me die, my sins are too many. Biscuit the Lillipup is such a good boy that can do no wrong.Read full review »

I like your show, but your intermissions kind of break immersion for me. I think I’d just like it if you had your announcements at the beginning or end of the show. Or else if you could at least avoid inserting them in the middle of scenes and sometimes even sentences. They would just flow...Read full review »

I wish I could give it more stars. Jake, Josh and Alan are hilarious and delightful. Seriously. I could listen to Alan do Pokemon voices all day. There's adventure, drama, comedy, anything you could want in a podcast. Highly, highly, highly recommend this and PWT!Read full review »
