Thank you for your delightful interview with Will Butler Adams. I bought a Brompton in February so I could bring the freedom of riding a bike with me to every city I travel to by train (from Bern). Brompton seemed to me to be the simplest and most comfortable. Now I know all the care behind the...Read full review »

I have enjoyed this podcast until the episode on Hong Kong, has RSA joined the propaganda wars against China? I am sure Mike Pompeo is delighted… perhaps MT should interview him too?

Love this podcast! It’s so great to be aware that there are people having serious conversations about matters that I genuinely concern about.

I have learnt so much listening to these podcasts. Each delves deeply into highly relevant areas of learning. Particularly enjoyed the interview with Kate Raworth.

Really enjoyable podcast. Always interesting topics/guests and the discussion is well-judged and exactly the right length. It often leaves me wanting to find out more, which is a good thing.

I really appreciate the quality of conversation on this podcast. There are a wide range of guest speakers and the host always asks deep and interesting questions. Many subjects covered and I always learn something new. I basically never miss an episode, it’s just wonderful.

I saw Matthew Taylor at the Wilderness Festival and of course he’s regularly on UK radio. His combination of knowledge, optimism and enthusiasm is infectious. He brings those same qualities to this podcast bringing together informed guests who have something interesting to say.

Want to feel ‘nourished’ and ‘across’ current thinking? This does it for me. Spent all day idly wondering if democracy was dead in India (sorry boss). Matthew does a brilliant job of drawing out some pretty complex themes from his guests and challenging them.

This is a fantastic and fascinating podcast that makes me proud to be an RSA member.

I am so happy I come across this amazing podcast. Matthew is deliberative and intelligent; his guests are equally brilliant and thoughtful. I have learned a lot in the last two years. (oh can I also add how much I enjoyed Matthew’s blog post series on coordination theory).

Many very interesting episodes but too many white men guests. Gives a narrow perspective. Surely there must be more women, people of colour and young people to speak to the topic Bridges to the future.

This is by some way the most serious of the podcasts that I listen to and sometimes it’s quite hard work. As another reviewer says, sometimes my mind wanders off and that’s usually because it’s analysing and trying to internalise one of the points made. Nevertheless it’s definitely worth...Read full review »

This morning I drove from my home near Lake Tahoe California down to a small town near Santa Barbara to attend to my parents affairs. (The sadness that is Alzheimer’s disease has flooded both of them and turned their reality upside down). It’s a 300 mile drive, no better time than to catch up...Read full review »

I waited to review this until I’d listened to a few months, and now I can be sure that it’s an indispensable podcast for me. So many great ideas covered quickly and insightfully here. Matthew Taylor is an incredible guide to big ideas.

This podcast has been a highlight of my lockdown. Consistently exceptional discussions on some of the most interesting new topics and policy ideas. Well informed, stimulating, and reasoned.

You not believe me but despite the fact that I was really interested in hearing about this subject & learning from the episode I did have to rewind & relisten several times because my mind kept wandering off.... Naomi

Thoughtful and considered. David Goodhart a giant among men. Read his book. Esteem and self-worth are critical to human happiness. The cognitive elite have eaten all the pies.

This is a good podcast. It’s interesting to listen people who know and understand the subject under discussion.

These are interesting and thought provoking podcasts. The question we really should be asking is ‘Are we asking the right questions?’. As a technically capable species we have a long way to go to reach that which we aspire to be in full acceptance of our human condition. Narratives are not the...Read full review »

Great podcast series, a window on the post-COVID world through the eyes of some of its most interesting thinkers.

Matthew is a fabulous interviewer with a clear personality and position whilst being respectful and generous to each contributor. So well produced: clear questions revealing clear, varied and provocative answers. Such a fabulous collection of thinkers, writers, advocates and practitioners.

I’ve come to this podcast late in the day. I feel grateful for this. Firstly, because it has been thought provoking during this period of lockdown. Also, because it can be funny to hear how off the mark predictions can be! Interesting to reflect on how one significant event can dwarf...Read full review »

This is great. Proper considered discussions about the situation we all find ourselves in. The noise and confusion on traditional and social media are not at all helpful- making it difficult to filter for sensible information. Difficult times call for grown up conversations and solutions.

Excellent podcast series, bringing together leading edge thinking to find possible pathways forward into the post-COVID19 world of tomorrow. Thanks!

I enjoyed the podcast with David Miliband. I am under the impression that Miliband never took the trouble of having a look at the whole Agenda 2030 and hence talks of the UN Sustainable Development Goals as 17 lonely aspirations. Behind these 17 goals sit 169 targets and 232 unique indicators, we...Read full review »

I thought this was a terrible episode. One in which the discussion disregarded evidence given at the start of the podcast that suggested political leaders don’t pivot the opposite way once in power. Thereafter much of the discussion in this episode was speculatively disingenuous on how the...Read full review »

One of my favourite podcasts and perfect content for my commute to work. It keeps on getting better too; longer episodes that do more justice to the fundamental points being discussed. Keep them coming

Thoughtful discussions about difficult current issues. Antidote to the current loud and thoughtless discussions.

If the point of this ‘polarised’ series is to understand better why we are so polarised and hence ‘break down and heal the polarisation’ - then we need to understand both polarised sides. The intellectual liberal elite preaching is not the answer - just self indulgence. That is how this podcast...Read full review »
