Interesting and Needed Perspective
Eiynah brings a unique perspective to controversial issues around atheism, Islam, political correctness, and bigotry. Much of the conversation has been dominated by illiberal apologists for religion and censorship, and right-wing critics of Islam who have a Libertarian agenda, that blinds them to other possibilities. Eiynah bring a reliable left-wing voice to these issues and points out the biases of right-wing free speech defenders. At times conversations devolve into ad-hominem attacks, or obsessive crtiques of certain popular right-wing media figures. But at its best she provides an important perspective on these issues. Some interviews have been fascinating. IN particular the series around life in Saudi Arabia are informative. And she has done some really interesting group discussions, I found the one about the Australian riots to be particularly good. The interview with a non-practicing pedophile was highly disturbing, but a captivating interview. EIynah also makes intersting shorts about certain subjects, our Feminist Prime Minister visiting a segregated mosque with an arch conservative Imam, and a statement about the glorification of the hijab. Glad this podcast is out there, and nice to hear a unique Canadian voice in the castspere.

Another so called progressive who comes across as woefully regressive. Managed to listen to a few of these and they are all largely insufferable. Author seems lost and meanders from place to place in a pool of extreme Wokist drivel. From one hand waving topic du jour to the next. She is very,...Read full review »
