A genuinely interesting addition to political podcasts
I always enjoy this podcast. I came to it as a fan of The Rest is Politics and i was expecting it to be a poor man’s version of that, I was wrong, this is very much its own thing. I was not a fan of either man when they were MPs but i can understand now why they both reached high office. They are clever, thoughtful, interesting and often really funny. As a centre right (just) voter i really value the mostly friendly discussions about economics and politics and I wish with every fibre that they could have been more like this when in office. So much more relatable and i feel that if politicians tried to find middle ground rather than just shouting sound bites at one another the country might actually work out solutions to some of our big problems. Also please do more “specials” like the episodes about the coalition which was fascinating.
