Best political podcast - insightful, balanced and while they both come from different sides of the fence they are pretty open and honest about current political issues. Always friendly and respectful - if only politicians could always behave like this

Wow, compared to their braggart competition who just shout their opinions and come across a bit lacking in rounded thinking, these two are real intellectual political heavyweights and it shows in spades. The best podcast I listen to by far. Please keep it up guys, I have learnt so much already.

Excellent podcast that works on so many levels.Great insights from the experience of two very successful politicians from opposite sides . What really impresses it the open and honest approach to the issues we face in this country. I sincerely hope there are more politicians around like these two...Read full review »

Ideal mix of humour, their own experience , serous discussions, but always friendly

This is my favourite political podcast by far. Two sharp minds, who were in the room for many of the most important political moments of the past two decades, speaking openly and informatively. Unlike some other shows, both are pretty fair and balanced. Good chemistry between the hosts. They...Read full review »

Political gaming rather than philosophical thinking.

By far the best political pod. Really interesting and informed discussion. Genuinely fascinating insights and perspective from those who were at the centre of power. Refreshing lack of self satisfaction and tribalism of other pods.

Great podcast - so informative yet also fun. George and Ed might seem an unlikely pairing but it works incredibly well. Their past experience of being on different sides of the political fence / power dynamic , their inside knowledge and their mutual respect for one another , combined with their...Read full review »

When listening to this you get a deep insight into political thinking and processes. You really get a feel for politics being a game. Ed and George are still in the politics mindset even though they are not politicians and for me that makes this makes for both uncomfortable and essential...Read full review »

How disappointing yet utterly unsurprising. A promising podcast is now ruined when two ex-politicians want to to monetise the show by charging for it. And they wonder why the people no longer trust or respect politician's. Shameful.Read full review »

I liked it until George started selling cryptocurrencies. Then he lost credibility.

This is possibly the best informed political podcast in the UK with some great examples of oneupmanship and sparkling snidely comments from both Ed and George (in a good way though), a must listen to every week for anyone involved in politics or interested in current affairs

Insightful, entertaining and balanced. Both have credibility and a willingness to listen to the other side. Can’t wait to download it each week.

Obsessed, I look forward to these being released every week. Always been a big George fan and never expected to be an Ed fan but I certainly am now. Love listening to their stories and anecdotes, enjoy listening to both signs of the coin. Glad to have their wisdom to listen to whether I’m getting...Read full review »

Was not a fan of George Osbourne’s policies when Chancellor, but as a podcaster/political analyst he is superb. Ed Ball’s I’ve always been fond of, both of them are witty, entertaining and insightful. Great chemistry between the two of them.

More objective, intellectually honest - Ed and George and miles less egotistical than Alistair and Rory!

Enjoyable podcast, especially if you’re into politics. Strongly recommend if you also like The News Agents and The Rest is Politics.

Really enjoying the show, only came across it recently. Very insightful and balanced. Have been listening to the Rest is Politics for quite a while but find their increasingly tribal approach to everything undermines the discussion.

I really enjoy the listening collaborative relationship George and Ed have. If only politics was much more like this and much less tribal. There are some great insights of what it was like to ministers and the funny stories they remember.

I love George & Ed. Great political knowledge, genuinely factual - including their lived experiences. They’re non-tribal & seem like good mates. A political podcast where there is actually balanced debate, rather than a very tribal member constantly trying to get their PoV across…

As former opponents facing each other across the despatch boxes in Parliament, George and Ed, ex-Chancellor and ex-Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, are uniquely qualified to bring us the inside scoop of British Politics. I always enjoy this podcast. I came to it as a fan of The Rest is Politics and i was expecting it to be a poor man’s version of that, I was wrong, this is very much its own thing. Refreshing to get a political podcast where there is genuine insight from people at the heart of politics. Equally refreshing to get two hosts who genuinely disagree

Osballs? Ballbourne? Clearly they need to change their names if they want to make it as a double act, but as a pair they’re pretty engaging, and this is quite good.
