Overgrown high-schoolers
I've been listening to this for a while, but can't do it any more. The recent segment on Somali pirates was heavy with such witticisms as "do they have their own lingo? Do they say "grr?" Which would be a lame and obvious joke if someone dropped it in a drunken conversation on a boring Friday night, and which in the context of a show ostensibly about politics and world affairs is just eye-rollingly jejune. Add that to the frequency with which the participants will offer opinions on subjects that they themselves admit they really know nothing about, and what you have here is basically the experience of listening in on 3 moderately informed and not particularly witty people dish for a half hour. If you want humor in your political punditry, you'll do better with NPR's It's All Politics, with Rudin and Elving.
