“I used to, and to an extend I still love this podcast, it is an excellent source of news and analysis. But it is becoming increasingly difficult to listen to Matt Karnitschnig, belittling and mocking Europeans. To say there is ‘relief in the civilised parts of Europe’, is not only insulting, but it also betrays a lack of knowledge of European history, and quite frankly, intelligence, even if he is right about Marine Le Pen there. Form matters, and I thought it matters a lot to good journalists. I don’t understand how a respectable publication can let one of its correspondents go on record with that, it made me just skip the episode.”
